State-of-the-art 3D CMOS sensor
DepthSense™ is an advanced, 3D depth-sensing, time-of-flight chipset based on patented Optrima technology. It is fully compatible with standard CMOS processing and at the same time highly sensitive and efficient. This allows the integration of CMOS logic, memory and processing units to create monolithic system-on-chip (SoC) 3D time-of-flight imagers, delivering high quality images with the highest flexibility. Moreover, high sensitivity and efficiency allow reduced illumination: DepthSense™ operates with low-cost LED illumination modules. This has a direct impact on power consumption, bill-of-material (fewer LEDs), product size, heat dissipation, etc.
DepthSense™ provides a direct way for acquiring 3D information about objects and people, enabling new applications, such as gesture recognition. Integrated into the OptriCam™ family of 3D imagers (or another 3D imager system), DepthSense™ operates in a wide variety of environments with state-of-the art sensitivity, precise depth resolution and optimal system performance.
